Legacy no.18 is een Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout dat heeft gerijpt in Rhum en Franse Whiskey vaten. De robuuste, donkere basis van de stout wordt versterkt door rijke tonen van pure chocolade en koffie, terwijl de Rhum vaten een subtiele zoetheid van karamel en tropisch fruit toevoegen. De Franse Whiskey vaten brengen verfijnde accenten van vanille, eikenhout en lichte kruiden naar voren. Het resultaat is een diep, complex bier met gelaagde smaken waarin geroosterde mout, zoete melasse en kruidige tonen prachtig in balans zijn. De vatrijping zorgt voor een harmonieuze mix van intensiteit en finesse.

330 ml can. Pours black with very little head. Aromas of chocolate, cola, rum and roasted malts. Flavors of dry dark chocolate, whisky barrel, a bit of fruity rum, a bit of dark sugars and toasted malts. Quite a hot finish.

Can. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Mix of roasted malt, coffee, oak wood and subtle spicy notes. Taste: Roasted malt, coffee, some vanilla, quite a lot of oak wood, spicy hints, some sweetish and fruity Rum and some Whisky. Full body, below average carbonation. Smooth and bit sticky mouthfeel. Well balanced. Nice complexity. Very nice slow sipper.
