Cask @ Brewdog Manchester Outpost, Manchester. Dark ale with an extremely thin head. It has a nice cask texture but is an average porter, with a mix of sweet and light roasted malts, with a fair aroma of the latter.

(Cask at BrewDog Soho, 20191016) The beer poured black. No head. Aroma had burnt malts, toasted malts and biscuits. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were grass, burnt malts, biscuits, ash, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A nice burnt brew with sweet notes.

From some futuristic mock cask machine at BD Xoho, first birthday beer, 11/10/19. Deep black with little in the way of a head ... just some tan spotting and bubbles. Nose is mellow roast, good liquorice aroma, chocolate, dried fruits. Taste comprises roast malts, brown sugar, more liquorice but less than the nose suggested, light spice, molasses. Medium bodied, moderately soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent porter.
