bottle at beerlovers bar. Pours jet black, with a dark, dense head. Smell is roasted malts, mostly. taste is a very pure, thick imperial stout of great quality. i kinda missed the specialty though...

20th May 2017: Cotteridge Wines #3. Thanks S_hartshorne for the two 330ml bottles on offer, cheers Shane. Black pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma had some rich maltiness with a treacle leaning followed by coffee esters. Taste was also all about maltiness, this time with a chocolate flavour alongside the treacle and coffee, some dark fruit and liquorice towards the finish.

Draught at MBCC. Green Session. Shiny naked surface to a deep black body. Minimal lacing. Roasted black malty aroma, hints of molasses. Solid flavour character of mid sweet oak, chocolate and molasses on a bourbon backbone. Lingering and warming ending, nicely roasted. Solid nice sipper, slightly over the top. (Copenhagen 13.05.2017).

Bottle shared at Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, decadent filth, syrupy, chocolate brownie, booze, chocolate liqueur, burnt toffee and a touch of fruit. The taste is slick, very sweet indeed, chewy, candy, sweet brownie, chocolate ice-cream, coffee liqueuer, chewy, toffee, leather, raw sugar, cake and fudge with a sweet and warming finish Full body, average carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. I could understand how those with a sweet tooth might like this, but I found it pretty difficult to drink. It is soooo sweet and boozy.

Smak melkesjokolade, mørk karamell, lakris, røsted malt, en aning alkoholsmak i ettersmaken. En øl med god aroma, og en fantastisk smak av dessert en øl med god fylde og veldig smaksrik.
