A smooth, continental style blonde beer with a story to tell. We first brewed it as a tribute to the American 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, who during 1943 in preparation for D-Day, were accommodated in Ramsbury and nearby villages. Currahee, the regimental motto, means stand alone and we hope that this ale too, with its smooth taste and citrus finish, does just that.

Bottle from a garden center over in Bagshot/Sunningdale direction. Aroma had grains, malts, citrus and glue. Clear gold. Frothy foamy white head. Medium bitter. Woody. Citrus. Followed by sweet malty gluey streak. Light . Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Alright. Chewy. Not keen on the overly sweet syrupy element

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - A very wheaty beer that tasted like a cranked up version of their Ramsbury Gold. It was nice and I enjoyed drinking it, but not one to have again. The bitterness was very welcome on a hot evening as the wheat made it very thirst quenching.

Bottle at a ChrisO Tasting, London - thanks to Chris, most likely. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a light, white cream head. Toasty straw nose, basic pale malts, doughy malts. Medium sweet flavor, more dough, hay, faint floral hops. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, further notes of dough and faint straw. Not bad. Pretty standard.
