Half, cask at CP&K Pimlico. Patchy white head, near-clear amber body. Plain hoppy aroma. Taste of fresh citrus mixed with dried fruits and toasted malts. Fine drinkability and well made (London, 22.03.2011).

Cask handpump at The Royal Blenheim, at the DERT festival held in Oxford 05.03.11 Golden in colour, this is fruity, crisp, dry and with a great bitterness, grapefruit stings through. Beer of the day, went back in here later but the pub was heaving with all of the Morris Rapper dancers and it’d been replaced. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Cask in the Evening Star, Brighton. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Dry, crackery malts on the nose with big straw and citrus hops. Flavor is medium sweet with nice, sun-kissed toast, and bitterness of earth, hay, pine and further citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Some sweet malts in the finish with grassy hops, sweet ctrus and some modest resins. Really, really nice beer.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 24 Nov) Pale amber colour with frothy white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with distinct grapefruit notes. Fruity taste with a distinct grapefruit note, hints of lemon, and a nice hoppy finish. Very nice variation on the American pale ale style.

Cask handpull at Evening Star, Brighton. Aromatic autumnal ale according to the pump clip. Copper colour with lasting beige head. Aromatic American hop aroma, bit of cat pee. Good in mouth, decent juicy malt, before sherberty earthy hop cuts in and lasts and lasts. Beautifl. Utterly drinkable. Gorgeous hop/malt balance. Resiny piney hop.

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Hazy orange-amber. Intense grapefruit aroma. Medium bodied, firm and rather clean with resiny, very bitter finish. A highly aromatic ale, described as a bitter, but very much in the middle of the guidelines for American pale ale.
