Cask at the The Sun Inn Summer Beer Festival, Kelvedon. Hazy dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Light semi dry palate. Lovely dark chocolate. The barmaid said Bourneville and she is spot on! Underneath is well integrated mild fruits and red berry fruits. Vaguely Terry’s Chocolate Orange but much more sophisticated and more complex than that. Great stuff.

Cask conditioned at Reading BF 2012. Black beer lasting beige head. Lots and lots of choc. Some lactic but mostly just choc touch grainy. Just choccy as hell. Lovely choc.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 23/1/2011. Near black in colour with a decent, off-white head. Dark chocolate aroma, with a touch of lactose and mercifully small amount of vanilla. Flavour had big, chunky slabs of chocolate, like a plain yorkie bar, some milky sourness and a dryish finish. By no means a session beer, but a pleasant experience.
