Sold as "Kriek (2010)" and 7.11% but I suppose it is this one. Deep red-brown color, small off-white head. Nose is not very strong, berryish with hints of sour cherries. Medium-bodied. Tart and fruity, cherryish flavor. Cherries are not overpowering here. Good kriek.

Location: 750 ml bottle at Ginger Man, 12/30/10

Aroma: The nose is sour cherry, yeast, wood, other berries, and a little brett
Appearance: It pours into the glass a hazy reddish-brown color with a tan head
Flavor: The taste is slightly sour, some fruity sweetness, and slightly acidic
Palate: The mouthfeel is fairly light, its pretty drinkable with a tart, acidic finish to it
Overall Impression: This stuff was petty decent. Not the most exciting thing in the style, but still pretty enjoyable. I'd describe this as a refreshing and drinkable beer with some cherry tartness to it.

Bottle, thanks for sharing Josh and Sunshine. Metallic Tart cherry aroma, marzipan. Cloudy dark red, creamy offwhite head. Citric tart, light wooden, dry bodied. Marzipan and cherry retronasal. Spicy aftertaste. Little bit muddled, but nice.

Wow. This one was a close rival of Cantillon Kriek, and proves that lambic style beers can definitely be made well, outside of the Senne valley.

Tasty beer. This beer really needs to warm up bring out sufficient sour punch, but, once it hits a good temperature, it can legitimately compete with the big boys from Belgium. The aroma has lots of sour cherry pie and wood. The woody aroma is particularly interesting. It has a sort of cork/walnut character to it. There’s some interesting spice in there, as well. Light lemons and yogurt foreshadow the pucker. Taste is a bit simpler than the aroma. Good but not incredible pucker. More lemons. Earthy yeast undertones. Drying finish. Not too much vinegar. Very nice lingering aftertaste of cherry skins, lemon zest and unsweetened yogurt. Mouthfeel started off rather effervescent, but I took my time with the beer and it mellowed nicely. Appearance is a deep maroon, increasingly cloudy as you go through the bottle. Cascade is one of the best American brewers of sours, and this kriek is an excellent example of their prowess.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, amber-red with a moderate, off-white head. Strong fruit aroma with prominent berry notes. Flavor is sweet, tart, fruity, with defnite notes of cherries and almonds. Also lightly woody. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes tart, sweet, a bit acidic and dry. Very good stuff. (3.9)

Bottle (vintage 2010) at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London. Pours cloudy, ruby-brown with a faint, white film. Tart, fresh berry nose. Light sweet flavor with huge tartness, jammy cherry, light dryness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Super sour and acidic to finish, pleasant cherry notes. Plenty of lip-quiver on the back of this one. Good, if pretty intense. (3.8)

09 bottle from Ben, thanks! Shared at the 2010 Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a clear deep red with a thick white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of tart cherries and had a bit of a dry note. Flavor was a bit weaker with the tart cherries, a bit of funk and a nice dry finish.
