Cask at the brewpub. Cloudy dark orange, white head. Malty, some caramel, toasted, some fruity notes, low carbonation, bitterish finish. Medium bodied.

Cask at GBBF 2016, Day 1 - London. Pours clear brown with a foamy, tan head. Nice beer, with notes of brown bread, light toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with decent balance, more brown bread, mellow bitterness, hints of cocoa, more toast. Good mild.

Cask at GBBF ’16, day one, 09/08/16. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Nose is mild fruits, toffee, light spice, brown bread. Taste comprises earthy fruits, dates, raisens, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate mild.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear deep brown with a small white head. The aroma is toasted nuts, cocoa powder, earthy, twig and caramel. The taste is dry, bitter, woody, earthy roast, leather, dried fruits, twig and toffee. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Decent enough balance and drinkability, but it didn’t stand out from the crowd.

Cask at GBBF 2016 09/08/2016. A nutty brown coloured pour with a a thin beige head. Aroma is nutty malts, dried apple, woody plum. Flavour is composed of sweet liquorice, plum, raisin, green apple, liquorice. Palate is semi sweet lowish carbonation, bog standard mild.

Cask at the Old Swan. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is smoky malt. The flavour is smoky liqourice with a light nutty malt, spicy hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not sure this was a typical mild though!

Cask at the Olde Swan; clear nut brown pour with a creamy tan head, light coffee and fruit aroma, taste has dark fruits and coffee.

Cask at the source. Clear deep maroon amber color, thick beige head. Aroma of burnt toast. Taste is fruity coffee, light body.

Cask-conditioned at The Olde Swan, Netherton, 22/11/2014. Dark brown with a thin, beige, head. Sweetish, with some chocolate and caramel before a rather gentle finish. Pleasant, easy drinking.
