On tap at the Magpie. Hazy deep red beer. Good cream coloured head. Light semi dry palate. Good creamy malt with a trace of toffee. Ok orangey hops. mild bitterness. Finishes smooth and semi dry. Reasonably well balanced but as Ian says below it’s not an IPA and was out-muscled by the other IPAs on offer tonight in the Magpie.

Cask handpull at Old Buttermarket, Canterbury. Cropton red rat ipa 5.0%. russet red colour. Ok ish hops. Again not really an ipa just a strong hoppy bitter. Its fine. But acidic on the hops. But ok beer. Good nick 3.3/5
