(Cask at Brew Wharf, London Bridge, London, 21 May 2011) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of citrus, pine needles and toasty grain. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, raisins, pine needles, citrus and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Nice and tasty beer, leaning in the black IPA direction.

Clear dark brown beer. Small pale tan head. Semi dry palate. Low carbonation. Nice even malt. Sweetish and subtle red fruits with just a light touch of hop bitterbess. Finishes dry. Pretty well joined up and drinkable.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2011. Very dark brown. Thin bubbly beige head. Its a typical brown ale in that it is very malty. Quite hoppy on the finish. I enjoyed it though Andrew thought it was metallic due fo it actually having some hops. Good. Really quite hoppy.
