Cask at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a bubbly, slight beige head. Aroma is rife with lactic sugars and lessere notes of chocolate. Flavor is decent, has a sharp, almost tangy sweetness with faint, roasty malts and little bitterness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes with an extreme, deeply charred wood flavor I can’t remember encountering before. Further tangy sugars and light baking cocoa. A nice beer.

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Dark brown no head. The cocoa nibs really come through on the aroma but more so on the initial swallow. Full in mouth despite the low ABV. Soke vanilla on the finish. Not as milky as I feared as I dont really like milk. Very likeable and the choc cocoa is lovely
