Pigs Ear. Clear dark brown beer. Light hops on the nose. Light semi dry palate. Light malt, a little dry. Nice generic fruits with a streak of malty bubblegum.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Pale chestnut, it’s a soft bitter with slight bitterness on the finish.

Gravity, cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 16-11-09 Pours more dark amber than chestnut with a filmy off-white head. Nice start, chewy, bittersweet combination, some lingering bitterness also light fruit & toffee. Really quite a decent session beer, reasonably hoppy not sure of varieties used but I’m guessing that its is leaning towards the more traditional english varieties. Decent no frills well made session beer, the sort of things that Vale excel at, very good. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4
