Bottle from Oddbins, Blackheath. Amber pour no head. Low on the old carbonation front. Citrus, baked apple and fresh herb aroma. Bitter citrus flavour. Quite bitter. Not too bad.

Bottle from oddbins, Blackheath, SE London - A hazy/fuzzy amber pour with a medium white head. Overall very gritty, earthy bitter hop notes with sweet malt base. I didn’t really like this much and certainly concur with some of the other reviews below. Kind of average to ok for me overall.

Bottle at Chriso tasting (thanks Anders37) 18/11/12. Slightly hazed pale amber with a thin white head that clears to the edge and forms a film. Nose is light pine, hops, touch of honey, pale malt. Taste follows with some bitter tropical fruits, hops, light pine, caramel malts, touch of sugar. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Slightly above average.

Bottle at home in London. Pours hazy auburn with a small, white froth for a head. Aroma holds some lightly toasted dough, socks, toasted grass and dirt. Light to medium sweet flavor with dirty grass bitterness, burnt leaves, dry minerals, gritty earth, some orange peel. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Earthy bitterness to finish with some sturdy, gritty grass, more citrus peel, toasted leaves, light sweetness, mild herbs. Like some of the other London Fields IPAs, this one too has a bit too much bitterness in the finish, to the point where it’s almost abrasive. So so.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours hazy amber with a medium white head. The nose is dough, spice, grass and sweet pale malt. The taste is bitter grass, intense spice, dough, earth and pine with a very dry, spicy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavour is pretty intense, but the hop is not to my liking. Not actually that drinkable.
