Draft at Craft Beer Rising 2014 - London. Pours deep brown with a foamy, khaki head. The nose holds moderate roast, hints of earthy hops, cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavour with further earth, ash, bittersweet cocoa, dried fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. A little drying in the finish, with further roasty notes, some burnt pine. So so overall.

Cask at CBR 2014. It pours dark brown with a minimal beige head. The nose is light roast, toast, earth, spice, barnyard and wood. The taste is roasted malt, toast, light bitterness, some tang, spice, wood, some astringency and cocoa with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. More like a CDA than anything else. OK.
