500ml bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Clear dark brown colour with lasting beige head. Quite a hoppy aroma. Some sweetish malt. Hops carry on throughout. It’s quite a decent beer to be honest. Yes clean hoppy decent with enough malt body to balance it all up. Good beer.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours amber with a thin head. The nose has grapefruit with a malty/honey background. The taste has more bitter grapefruit pith and just a hint of toffee on the end. The palate is light to medium in body and texture with a clean rasping finish. It’s not bad considering the strength and it grows as you go down the bottle.

Cask @ Red Squirrel [210213]
Reddish copper, clear, bubbly white head, some lacing
Aroma of fruity hops, tangy citrus
Taste of tangy sweet fruity citrus, very light soft malts, some grassy hop in the background - how do you get tangy juicyness like that at such an abv and I had a cold....ridiculous
Palate - thinnish body (well that’s expected), some oiliness though to offset that. Finish is quick but as main flavour - there is a slight dab of grassy hop and light malt in the tail
Overall - NO-ONE has made a

Aroma: Not much aroma. Very light grain and biscuit notes.

Appearance: Clear, dark amber body with a small off-white head. Flat carbonation. Great lacing.

Taste: Very little flavour. Tastes a bit like diluted beer. Subtle biscuit flavour with a light, tangy citrus bitterness.

Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.

Overall: I like that Black Isle tested themselves by brewing a beer with such low ABV, but there’s almost no flavour or character to this, unfortunately.
