Cask at the Lyric - Soho, London. Pours perfectly clear copper-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds ripe fruits, apples, plums. Medium sweet flavor with more ripe fruits, berries, stewed apples, plums, toffee, bred. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Sweet, lightly sticky to finish, more bready malts, toffee, faint wood, apples. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Clifton , Bristol 23/01/10. Deep copper in colour with no head. Sweet, red fruit and caramel aroma. Flavour was similar with a touch of earthiness and moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Cask conditioned gravity, White Cliffs BF 08. Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Fruity malty ESB. That’s alright. Does what you want an ESBto do, malt fruit is well balanced. Drying hop on end could be more prominent, but fine.
