Like the force of nature it is named for, Tsunami Stout will bowl you over with its jet-black color and dark seductive aroma. Roasted malts and unmalted barley give this full-bodied brew its dense creamy head and distinct dark chocolate and cappuccino flavors that swell to a clean, rounded malty finish. Grab a Tsunami and head for high ground.

I had high expectations for this beer, given how much I love pelican, but honestly it was a bit of a let down, though certainly not a bad beer. Pours a black color with light brown head. The nose is of roasted malts, fudge and molasses and dark fruit. Pretty promising nose. The mouth is much more linear with roasted malt and dark fruit. Decent bitterness.the mouth lacks the complexity of the nose. Moderately bitter finish with roasted malts.

On Tap at The River Room, Whole Foods Boise. Black with a very impressive dark tan head hat settled nicely into a thick sustaining ring. Served a bit cold, but plenty of classic dark roast campfire aromas. Flavors are similar with significant bitterness. For a foreign, I expected a bit less IBU and a bit more sweetness

Bottle with thanks to Homer! Pours inky black with a medium creamy brown head that dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is roasty, ashtray, coffee, cocoa. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, creamy and tasty. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Nice.
