Cask, gravity (BRIGHT) at Merton Village Hall Refurbishment event, Merton, Oxon 22.01.11 Pours conker coloured with nice white head. Despite being bright this beer showed good depth of flavour and held up well next to the Vale New Dawn, Crouch Vale Brewers Gold and Toad Da Vinci Toad. This had good earthy rustic flavours, touch old fashioned quality about it, malty with nice rustic fruitiness. Just a decent down to earth bitter. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol. Amber coloured with a decent off-white head. Aroma was distinctly hoppy, more spuce-like than citrus with some supporting malt sweetness. Flavours were of red fruits with a touch of caramel. Finish was bitter and long. An excellent session bitter.

Cask handpull at Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Amber colour with lasting beige head. Superb bitter, ticks all the boxes and then some. Had the Matthews 40 Yard at Dover BF and was amazed by it. US style hops on aroma. Decent malts in mouth, quite soft, so drinkable. Some malt roundness. Hop on end is distinctive and works well again, some US sherberty grapefruity hop.
