Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - big thanks to Jan. Pours clear amber with a fine, bubbly white head. Dusty caramel in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, lightly alcoholic, with some dirt, dry pine, bread and caramel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming and resinous on the finish with toasted bread, dry pine and yet more caramel. Pretty average.

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Jan. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is old wood, varnish, toffee, spice and hot-cross bun. The taste is wood, wood polish, varnish, hot-cross bun, toast, caramel and faint citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Easy enough to drink, but average at best.

Bottle at Chriso’s snow tasting 20/01/2013. Hazy amber with a small white head. Sweet toffe and earthy hops in the nose and some citrus. Low carbonation, quite sweet. A good balance between malt and hops. A little oxidation. Mild bitter finish.

Bottle at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Jan for a rare WV rate, 20/01/13. Lightly hazed mid amber with a white head that clears to the edge. Nose is carmamel malt, light pine, hops, a little subdued. Taste follows, more depth, light tropical fruit notes, hops, sugars, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. Drinkable but forgettable IPA.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours medium brown center (a little darker than most IPAs) with large tea colored highlights and small beige head. Medium small bubble lacing, thick body, well carbonated, and slick texture. Taste is malt, bitterness, and piney finish. Alcohol is well covered and this is really refreshing. This one of my least favorite styles, but this is well above average.
