At the January 2026 DC Brewver gathering. 16oz can. Poured a slightly darker orange color, not quite amber, but close, with a small, slightly off-white head. Aroma was pine, malts. It's a bit sappy? I guess? A little thin, slight crispness with some mild sweet barley. I don't know.

Tree sap. Some toffee and some leather. Pours dark golden with decent head. Light hint of tang finish. Can.

16oz can pours amber, white head. Nose has birch and malt and herbs. Flavor is very sweet, malt, some sap notes, herbs. Finishes flabby.

473ml can. Pours a clear red amber with a small, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted caramel malt and floral hops. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, sap and piney hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Good but not great. Was hoping for more.

This has a dullish dark amber colour. Thin head. So it smells sickly sweet, and full of bubblegum like fermented at way too high a temp. Tastes very sweet, unbalanced. Maybe a touch of birch syrup, but that doesn't cover up the lack of balance and the phenols. A pretty big miss, and that's on the base beer more than anything else.
