A light coloured and beautiful translucent green premium ale, traditionally brewed using only the finest quality of Stonehenge Spring Water, barley and wheat malts, whole hops and the brewery’s own top-fermenting yeast and a drop of green magic. This beer is incredibly smooth and rich in both malt and hop aroma, the finish is delightfully fruity and pleasantly bitter.

Cask at the Dragon Inn, Birmingham. Poured a clear green colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malty, light herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat fresh, herbal, light citrus hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Magnet, Broadstairs, 19/03/2025.
Ketchup rake ... recall ticking this for the first time when I lived in Rugby mid noughties.
Lime green topped with a white crown.
Nose is toasted grains, dull fruit, stale bread, biscuit.
Taste comprises biscuit, hedgerow, straw, light malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
A Passable bitter that you want to taste of lime Opal Fruits!

January 2018: Cask conditioned at The Lord Rosebery, Scarborough, in June 2007. ABV was 4.6%. The barman asked me: "Are you SURE you want this beer? - it’s GREEN!" - even though I ordered merely a half pint. He also offered me a free sample of a few centiliters first, to see if I liked it. Of course I insisted on trying it, and asked if he by "green" meant that the cask was too "young" and shouldn’t have been put on yet. But no, green was indeed the actual colour of the beer - poisonous green, you might say. Creamy white head with a greenish hue. Moderate aroma where nothing stood out. Moderately fruity flavour with a dry finish. Drinkable, but the green colour is just a gimmick - I would rather have a beer with a more pronounced aroma and richer flavour.

Yes, it’s green ! Rated with eyes closed (mainly). Cask at Royal Oak, Shrewsbury. Pours a bright emerald with a small almost white head and good lacing. The aroma has floral hops with a hint of citrus. In the mouth it’s briefly sweet before bitterness and some sharpness kick in. Flavour of continental hops, lime marmalade, tropical fruits and a chewy texture. Finish is quite bitter and slightly dry. An interesting beer – quite mainstream considering the colour !

Gravity cask at New Beer Festival back in the day. Pours clear green with minimal head. Weak aroma, grains, cereals, hints of grass. Taste: light sweet & bitter, grainy, some citrus, herbal. Short soapy finish. No real body or carbonation. A gimmicky 'beer' that doesn't deliver on any level.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Nil aroma with my summer cold nose. Pale Fairy Liquid green. Thin bright white head. Light bitter. Sugared veg. A hint of lime - fitting as it could be lime cordial. Light. Thin. But benefits from a tad lively soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. Easy drinking. On one hand it's not great but there's something I like about it.

Handpull cask at the Bell, Bath. Food-colouring green, clear with a film of white head on top but pretty flat. Sulphur-tinged aroma, hard to smell anything else. Tastes bittersweet, still sulphur-led but there's a touch of fresh fruity hop nearer to finish. All in all, this is a poor beer buoyed up by a gimmick.
