Bottle. Copperish pour, white head. Intense, funky brett, low fruits and a woody touch. Long funky, a tad tart finish, medium, dry body and soft to normal carbonation. Tasty.

Bottle from 21 Brewpub Gallas, Lisboa. Aroma is ripe grapes with malt, oak, vinous notes, tannins, some funk. Ripe fruits, some alcohol. Fairly sweet, some tart grape, above medium body. Good.

On tap. Pours a dull copper color with light head. Aromas of grapes and malts. Flavors of grapes, oak, and cereal malts. Finishes with toasted malts.

Bottle 0.33l from our archive, probably five years aged. Cloudy, orange colored. AROMA- wine, barrel aged, grapes, apple, some alcohol, sea buckthorn, sour apricots. FLAVOR- dry, lightly sour, tart and bitter, quite strong alcohol, dark grapes, apple, sea buckthorn, wood. Fuller bodied. Alcohol presence is a bit harsh, still noble and tasty.

330ml bottle. Stingy boozy and heavy with some yeastiness, warming alcohol, berries and grapes, hints of oak and woody notes. A bit heavy.

Bottle from Wine Reserve, Cobham. Boozy aroma - the eyes water - with citrus and spice. Opaque amber. Thick off-white shaving foam head. The flava is equally boozy. But also suprisingly restrained. Light sour. A bitter streak then appears. But it's all about the barrel. Medium bodied. Slick verging on sticky. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. I wanted to like this more. Nice enough but I'd like to know if the original Saison was low key or if it has been overpowered by the barrel aging.
Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Fruity and spicy aroma with white wine and a touch of wood. Sweetish spicy flavour with oak and white wine. Medium bitter finish with a touch of warming alcohol.

A Saison on barrel who offend do you see that hazy yellow colour with medium off white head.Aroma of.yeast and grass medium body lively mouth feels nice overall best beer from Portugal so fare.
