Anything with a name that implies sleepiness, usually infers high alky content but this is not the case. Unlike ol horzy, this stuff is barely 6%. 12 oz brown bottle. Pop the lid and a darker beer yeast aroma follows. This has an odd label, a photo of somebody sleeping. His name evidently is Alan. No head in a pour but there is a very fine ring around the edge of the glass. Its color is fairly bright yellow with an ever present hint of very light brown. Impressively clear, clean appearance. This tastes much stronger than it looks. It appears to be masquerading, in looks, like a pale yellow lager. Tasting reveals the old familiar mild pilsner taste bud punch. Nice carbonation that is readily appreciated. When finishing the beer a steady mild bitterness builds to medium bitterness on the back of the throat. For a pilsner, it sure is ale-like in many ways, especially in harsh personality. Certainly the attributes put it someplace between a rave and grave. Not nearly as good as Bavik Premium Pils, but on par with Lancaster Gold Star Pilsner, Pilsner Urquell and Schell Pilsner
