Cask @ PIe & Ale, Manchester. Almost black with a frothy off-white head. It's thin textured despite a strong toffee nose, and a decent toffee taste.

Handpull cask at Project 53, Stockport. Very dark brown, am.ost translucent with a thick beige head. Lots of fresh toffee, some milk chocolate in the aroma. Sweet milky taste, again laden with toffee and ill chocolate. Some plummy hop bitterness near the finish bit all in all this beer is a sweet one. Thick body for the ABV, unaided by carbonation. Surprisingly good.
