Cask at the Harp - on Chandos. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Nice grassy hop character, some lemon peel, crackery pale malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with further grassy bitterness, dry pale malts. Not bad.

Handpull cask at the Lion Tavern, Liverpool. Light to mid-golden and clear with a tight off-white head. Subtle spiciness of the Pekko is fiercely prominent in the aroma. Whote pepper, spiced orange peel and the lightest touch of spearmint. Bittersweet taste, more sweet than bitter with a delicious spiciness. Hop oils on the tongue after the finish. An intense pale ale, especially considerin the ABV, although the Pekko can get slightly wearing after a while.
