This is the first beer we ever brewed, named ironically in celebration of the arduous process of opening a brewery. There’s a lot of red tape to work through, but this full flavored, malty, amber lager helps make the process a little more enjoyable.

Pint can. Pours a mostly clear reddish brown color with a small beige head. The aroma is sorta weak and non-distinct with some mild grains. The taste is similar to the nose with a fair amount of malted grains, some toffee and rock candy. The palate is clean and crisp with lively prickly carbonation. Finishes short and sweet. Overall: Decent lager. Paired well with some aged gouda.

Pour is a cloudy red with a large white head. Aroma is a earthy and grainy malt. Flavor is more earthy malt with a little caramel malt to finish things off. I don't know about this being a dunkel but it is a decent amber lager.

16 oz. can from Bier Cellar, Portland, Maine. Pours a hazy, very dark amber color with a khaki head and good retention. Very little lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Really good caramel, toffee, and dark malt flavors through to the finish. Semi-sweet, with almost no bitterness. Super clean and smooth. Medium body and medium carbonation. Very Oktoberfest-like. Prost!

Can. Dull amber with a modest pale beige head. 3- Aroma is biscuity and toasty with some orange and light spices. Malty and quite sweet but the finish is slightly bitter and drying. Not as clean as it might be but tasty enough.

Surprized to see this pounder can was a dunkel. Orangish brown and light maroon. Big foamy head. Very nice initial taste. Very little bitterness, kind and conscientious. Comes across like a well made dark american lager, yes quite good. Much better than expected, nice job! I liked this, pleasantly surprised dark civilized brew. GPood stuff.

16 ounce can. Wonderful copper/red pour is topped by a big frothy beige head. Rich toffee malt notes in nose. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Some nutty, toasted bread notes in middle. Finishes sweet and chewy, with light herbal hops.
