In this creamy and cloudy IPA we use copious amounts of American hops to add a big, juicy, fruity punch. Oats and lactose add a rich creaminess that subdues the bitterness, making this beer similar to a hopshake. Drink this beer as fresh as possible, when all the Alpha & Beta oils from the hops are the most powerful.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cloudy amber pour with a loose white head; grapefruit aroma; smooth grapefruit taste with a gentle but strong bitterness and a somewhat chalky body; then a clean citrusy finish. Good stuff.

On draught at P-Mac's in Dublin. The best of the three IPAs sampled tonight. Hazy and yellow with white head that retains. Citrusy on both the aroma and flavor.

Can at home picked up from Honest Brew. A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting white frothy white head. Aroma is sicky citrus, tangy pineapple, background tropical, wheat, plastic. Flavour is composed of floury white bready grains, wheat, tangy pineapple, little chalky, spicy citrus, background tropical fruits, white grape. Palate is chalky, mineral, highish airy carbonation. Fine but there is something a little off putting about it.

On tap at That Beer Place, Chester Pours an opaque pale yellow with a small white head. Strong nose with apples and lemons to the fore. In the mouth ? Well the initial sensation is simply fizziness – over carbonated. Once this dies down you can taste the citrus cocktail of lemon, line and orange, with a few hops lukring around there somewhere. Finish starts off as lemon, but after a few minutes turns to ginger ! And the gassiness repeats from the stomach ... Nice and refreshing – but is it beer ?

Can, 5.4%. Weak fruity, slightly yeasty aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour starts off with a plasticky note, but a solid mouthfeel. Turns fruity, mostly pineapple. Also finishes fruity. Strange and harsh bitterness, but not like the astringent bitterness that I sometimes get.
