WHO GIVES A WIT?

We do and it’s not rude. Based on a traditional Belgian wit (white) beer, we’ve added the bergamot and lemon zest of Earl Grey tea for a well turned out beer that politely packs a punch.

Pours gold with a fading head.Nose shows a herbal note (bergamot?), lemon peel and a doughy wheat character. Somewhat reminiscent of sponge cake. Some lemon remains as a flavour along with the herbal note. More doughy wheat too.Needs more carbonation. An interesting twist. Still think some orange peel would be good though.

[10/3/13] Draught at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell in London. Hazy yellow. Aroma of coriander, citrus peels and wheat. Spicy flavor, sweetish and a bit tart, with citrus and a drier, more spicy finish. Light-medium-bodied. Refreshing.

Draught @ Euston Tap, London. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, spice, coriands, lemon. Flavor is light sweet with wheat, spice, coriands, little lemon. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. Wits is not really my game, but my mom liked it. 150913

Bottle. Hazy hay yellow liquid with small white head. Aroma of bubble gum, earl grey, lemon peel, earthy wheat, white pepper and bread. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of earth, earl grey, pepper and bread. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ok but a bit weird. Samuel thinks it smells like sushi.
