Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear copper with a slight, creamy off-white head. Medium sweet flavour with mild earthy hop, ample stewed berries, hefty booze, a little pine, old wood. Full bodied, lightly oily, with fine and massaging carbonation. Warming finish, borderline hot, a little Belgian candi sugar accent, more berries, plums, dates. Quite drinkable all things considered. Tame brett expression.

Keg at the Cock T. Murky brown beer, no real head. Palate is light and mildly dry, a decent fine minerally crispness. Slightly thin malts for a beer of this stature but with a decent caramelly richness and some ripe fruits. The Brett is lightly done and that works well here, I think heavy Brett would have skewed it. Finishes crisp. A pretty drinkable quad all told.
