You won’t find any nonsense here, our IPA is a proper IPA. And in cask too, the way it should be.
Standing for India Pale Ale, the Joseph Holt IPA is brewed with pale malts which makes for a light, very pale beer. It also packs some very punchy hop flavours thanks to our use of whole leaf aroma hops, lending this sessionable beer a citrusy aroma and fresh taste.
Distinctively Holts, this IPA pays tribute to the traditional way.

On tap in Ramsey, Isle of Man. Has a solid foam and a clear yellow leaning toward gold. Soft fruity hop hints.Flavour is middling caramel and malt but nothing memorable. It's a good mix of sweet and oily. Just adequate and not especially exciting.

Pint on tap at the Norfolk Arms, Glossop. Handpump. Still pale amber beer with a thin creamy white head. Very slight haze. Nice lacing. Nose is lightly hoppy and malty. Light body, slight bitterness. Finish is more bitter with late malt. Not bad, a bit lightweight but not without its charms.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Fresh and dry pale malt, slight rawness. Okay mild citrus hops. Finishes dry with a mellow bitter linger. It’s fine but a bit a bit dry.
