Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasty, chocolate cola, Christmas spice, taste is chewy caramel, chocolate, spiced.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, reasonable carbonation. Tangy malts, fairly dry. Fair bit of smooth spice. Dark fruits with orange and cranberry. Smooth finish brings more spice, more like cinnamon than cloves. Over spiced Christmas nonsense - done well!

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, deep ruby red. Thin, lasting, sticky, beige head. Nose has dandelion and burdock. Clove. Menthol. Mulled wine. Baked orange. The whole shebang. Taste is sweet, spicy and herbal. Medium body. Dries out on the palate. Sweet and herbal finish. Usually find this style of beer pretty undrinkable, but I managed this ok!
