Opaque black - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts with a trace of roast bitterness. Backend is blueberry that gets a little jammy before a dry finish. Fine, could not taste any maple.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Opened with barely a sound. Pours murky, dark brown. No head to speak of. Lacking any real signs of life. Not a promising start. Aroma of milk chocolate. Some dried vine fruits. Some caramel. Getting the blueberries, but probably because I’m looking for them? Taste is soft sweet, and vine fruit dry. Clarty palate, lacking any condition. Finishes light dry, with a sweet close. Good beer here, somewhere, but this is in poor condition. Hopefully just a duff bottle...
