Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours a cloudy light orange with small white head and low carbonation. Taste is yeast, grainy wheat, and hint of sourness. Bottle says hefeweizen, where are the clove and banana. Description says Bavarian, this no where near a bavarian hefeweizen, ok for an american wheat.

I rated this one before it went "haywire." Not the best of the genre. Cloudy yellow pour. Nose and taste of dry wheats and banana. Rated 11/3/2000

On tap at The Taphouse, pours a hazy golden orange. Weak flavour of wheats and citrus. Not a good hefe.

bottle pours hazy orange with a tall white head. Aroma is strong yeast and orange with light notes of clove. Rich hay and grass with lots of wheat notes and a peppery Sazz finish.

Bottle. Slightly hazy, deep gold body. White, fizzy head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma leans to the sweet side — sugary and lightly floral, toasted grain and a hint of dirty feet. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Though it calls itself a hefeweizen, there is no clove, no banana, no tartness in the finish, no hazy, yeasty body. Instead, the flavor is husky with a sugar sweet backbone. Univiting on almost every level.

Shaker pint draft, at the Seattle taproom at SEATAC. Pour is cloudy orange golden with a smallish white head. Served with a lemon I plucked off, but lemon citrus is still the primary aroma. After giving it a few minutes to clear, some very faint citric wheat comes across. Taste is a lot more of the citric, slight earthy wheat, followed by bright citrus. Also get some floral in the back. Palate is nice and full, yet light with active carbonation. Nice drinkable unfiltered wheat beer.

12 oz bottle. Smells of wheat, lemons, Granny Smith apples. Disappointing head and below average hazy hue when compared to its German counterparts. Flavor is very American rather than German. Tastes of wheat--like it should--and lemons (I did not put a lemon wedge in it, ya wankers). This beer was much better straight out of the bottle. I’ve come across a number of beers now which seem to come across better from the bottle rather than poured into a glass. I disagree with the notion that beer is always better from a glass. I drank this last night straight out of the bottle and remember being impressed. Now, with the same beer in my glass, it’s just mediocre. I thought the same thing with Blue Moon Honey Moon. I could actually taste the unique flavors--honey and wheat--much more out of the bottle than the glass.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild orange fruity, estery and slight wheaty. Dry estery flavoured, mild acidic touch and light wheaty. Ends dry and light estery fruity.

Bottle. Poured cloudy orange with thick white head. Somewhat sour aroma, with a bit of clove. Rather bland flavour. Little bit of wheatiness, little bit of spice, nothing in sufficiency. Bland unmemorable finish. Commonplace beer.
