Old Fountain. Keg. Very hazy orange beer, tidy white head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Mild minerals. Mellow hops - a little fresh orange with mellow bitterness. Turns sweeter with traces of blood orange and tangerine coming through. After half a pint this was a 3.7 but as I sat chatting to Keen Massey I sank a few more of these and it’s a fine sessioner IPA and a real grower. Easily the best of the London Fields beers I’ve had. More please!

Keg at the brewpub, London. Pours cloudy gold with a fine, white cream head. Nose holds some floral hops, dry grapefruit, orange and melon, some dry grass. Light to medium sweet with lightly biscuity pale malts, dry grass and light pine, more dry and lightly zesty citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry and resinous to finish with a good dose of pine needles and grapefruit, some tangerine, crisp grass. Very solid IPA, very drinkable. Much better than the last few single hop IPAs I’ve had from London Fields, although the last few have been made with some rather obscure hop varietals that may or may not lend themselves well to a single hop IPA. Anyway, this one is very good.
