Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 11/5/2017. Deep brown in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. An easy drinking mild, with sweetish, earthy, malts, a hint of roastiness, touch of berry fruit and gentle finish. Fine.

Cask @ The Baum, Rochdale. Dark with a creamy off-white head. Has a very light and slightly milky roasted malt aroma and although the roasted malt taste is light it does linger in the palate. Fairly crisp.

On Gravity dispense from the cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, (Feb ’12). Poured into a UK pint glass to a rich dark brown veering to black colour with nothing much in the way of a head! Strong aroma for a mild, roasted malt and chocolate dominate here. Also a very tasty mild, again the roasted malt dominates along with a rich (for a mild!) toffee/treacle/caramel spine to the beer and maybe some dried fruits lobbed in for good measure! Thin body and a little watery as one would expect but overall a very good mild.
