April 2008. Lovely rich sumptuos malty depth. However there is balance here as well.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a ring of white head; tropical fruit flavours, lychee and pineapple, but not over sweet, slightly harsh alcoholic edge; leaves a smooth and sweet aftertaste with some underlying bitterness.
