13th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear amber beer, no real head. Fairly flat. Semi sweet toffeeish malt. Reasonably well balanced with some semi tart orange and a little grapefruit.

Cask handpump at The Shave Cross Inn, Shave Cross, Nr Bridport, Dorset 04-04-10 There was a lot of information on the pumpclip mentioning who/what this beer had been brewed in honour of and whilst I tried to read it I realised that that there were other people behind me, suffice to say it was something to do with four mounds and there was a female reference somewhere. Pours amber with a slight haze, Re: haze, this has been quite a common occurence with my beers down here in the West Country even at a well regarded pub such as this. Fruity and tangy, and with a steady medium bitterness, its fine but nothing to get too excited about. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0
