Som Broadies Stream på Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak 6 Nov 12. Klar lys gylden. Nesten ikke skum. God syrlig fruktaroma. Sitron. Appelsinskall. Smaken det samme. Frisk - men vel syrlig.

I had this as Brodies Steam, 4.0 % abv, together with Finn from cask at Southampton Arms. Clear golden body, naked at the top. Citrus fruity hops to the nose. Well blended flavour of fruity hops and honey sweetness. Smooth bitter, semi-dry tail . Ok (London, 06.11.2012).

Cask at Brodies. It pours slightly hazy golden yellow, with a decent white head. The nose is lime, kiwi, melon, floral, incense stick and jasmine. The taste is lime, kiwi, honey, honeysuckle, lemon, soap and floral (particularly jasmine), with some bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. This is not normally my sort of thing, but this one is very well done.

At the Brewpub. Stepney Green Steam. Clear pale gold beer, tiny white head. Light palate, a little dry - nicely crisp. Nice juicy sharp hops here. Lime and tangerine. A little orange pith. Cutting bitterness and a little minerals in the finish. Very nice indeed and for me a reaffirmation of Brodies core strength of really well flavoured modest abv beers.

The Hope, Carlshalton. Really nice lime and lemon citrus with grass and pine. Just medium bitterness, this is all hop flavour. Great beer!

Cask at the Old Coffee House, London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a light, creamy head. Delicate dough aroma with mild grass and pithy lemon. Interesting flavor. Some tangy grass, light white bread, some mild citrus. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Fairly dry finish, some slightly juicy citrus, pine needles, lightly toasted dough. Very nice to drink this one; the beer has a good bit of character.
