Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of liquorice, chocolate, dark fruits, hop and a touch of citrus. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Decent brew.

Gravity Dispense at Pig’s Ear BF, London - 05/12/12. Light black with a thin tan head that soon clears. Nose is light malts, molasses, liqourice, dark fruits. Taste comprises dark fruits, toffee, touch of chocolate, molasses, liqourice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate.

Pigs Ear. Almost opaque dark brown beer. No real head. Light dry palate. Tangy dark malts. Plum and prune fruitiness. Mild lactose. Dry finish. All right - very tangy.

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours black with a bubbly, tan head. Dark malt nose, ashy roast, dark fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor, dark malts, light roast, light bitter earth, light wood, dark berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly oily on the finish with dark malts, light cocoa, some burnt sugars. Pretty decent with some interesting elements.

Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear dark black brown color with a average, open and frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, dark roasted, caramel, chocolate, licorice, moderate hoppy, light grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice hops, burnt malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20111207]

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark fruits, liquorice and some mild ashy notes. Flavour is wood, resin, ashes, some dark fruityness as well as mild roasted notes and toffee as well. Finish is liquorice meeting chocolate along with some slight wooden notes.
