500 ml bottle. Almost clear amber body with a small white head. Vague, sweet malty aroma with some fruitiness. Flavor is caramel malt and a hint of bitterness, very average flavor. A bit watery body and not to balanced. OK session bitter but to flavorless for me.

Cask, gravity dispense at Woodford Beer Festival at The Duke, Woodford, Northants, 25-05-07. Everyone in our group hated this apart from me, described as ’tasting like sick’, ’tastes a bit sour’. Poured amber it had a slightly fruity nose, the taste was also quite fruity and despite some sweetness it really did have a bite to it, I quite liked it but on the other hand I wouldn’t rush to seek it out again there are a lot better beers out there.

Cask, GBBF 2006. A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet fruity, while the flavor has slight notes of diacethyl, combined with notes of metal, leading to a dry end.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 3 Aug) Colour is pale amber with small head. Nose is malty and nutty with some fruit, butter-scotch and an earthy hop aroma. Taste is malty, nutty with notes of peaches, toffee and a dry bitter finish with earthy hops. There is an underlying lactic note of butter-scotch here, maybe indictaing it’s passed its peak. Have to give it another try if I stumble across it. Still, definitely drinkable.
