Bottle. Cocoa, cola, and malt aroma Dark brown color with minimal head. Cocoa malt flavor - very light body. Nice flavor but way too light - almost watery.

Super dark brown coloured body, mostly opaque with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of deep chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and a potent bit of nuts. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with coffee and dark chocolate following soon behind. Aftertaste shows some mild malt and coffee, with a bit of sugars near the end. Overall, a good porter - not superb...but better than most. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 12-November-2007.

12 oz bottle. Aroma os chocolates, roast, and some hops. Flavor is that of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts, though at times felt a bit weak by the finish I was really digging this beer.

Dark color, roasted malt aroma. Nutty flavor with hints of chocolate and toffee. Full bodied with a grainy finish.

Poures a deep brown with a slight off white head. Aroma is heavy on the yeast, and grass. Some coffee and chocolate as well. I’m not a fan of the aroma at all, it doesn’t smell like a porter should smell. Mouth is way too watery. the flavor isn’t bad, much better than the aroma at least. Roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate. Very little aftertaste. After getting past the aroma this isn’t that bad of a brew, it’s decent but I won’t be having another.

bottle - This beer pours black with a thin, fading head. It has a nice but quite light roast malt aroma. The flavor is of roast malt with very tastey coffee notes. I was rather impressed by the balanced flavor and moderate mouthfeel with a good hops finish. The brew is a quality porter.

Thanks to Kevin for this one! A large creamy head of light brown that sticks around over a dark brown brew with red at the edges. Yeasty, bready, roast malt aroma. Thin and a bit bitter for my liking.

I got this beer in my beer club. I am not at all familiar with the brewer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small dark tan head. The aroma is full of strong roasted malts with a moderate floral hop presence. The flavor is strong roasted malts with moderate bitter floral hops. The mouthfeel is rather thick for a porter. The finish is dry and roasty.

Bottle pours a very dark brown with some ruby highlights. Nice cramy tan head that leaves thick even sheets of lacing. Aroma is the common porter dark roasted,. chocolate malts and slightly sour twang. Flavor was mostly the bitter roasted smokey flavor. Fairly thin feel and a nice old campfire aftertaste. Thanks to Ohiodad for this one.
