So, clock out and crack open a Nelson Sauvin-hopped Shift Pale Lager to reward your work. Or play. Or, if you're like us, combine the two and surround yourself with drinking buddies.

Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grass and floral. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Pours a clear golden colored body that becomes hazier the more you look at it, a nice foamy lumpy white one and a half finger head steadies for a minute and gently dies leaving some super clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass; the smell is definitely the Nelson Sauvin hops, but honestly I haven’t had too many beers in my life with Nelson Sauvin so I’m going with what I’m told, faint malt in the background, the taste is slightly bitter with some malts coming through and just a little bit of a malt aftertaste, dry finish, the palate is light, sessionable, carbonation seems good for an American Pale Lager and good for me, nothing really spectacular, but nothing bad; overall, this is a good American Pale Lager that I would probably have again, but nothing really to go outa my way for

Deep Yellow Color, Huge Bubbly Head, Leaves Lots Of Lacing. Nice Pine Aroma. A Surprise for a Pale Lager. Sweet, Pine and hoppy. Light oily medium body. Easy and pleasant to drink. Not sure if this hoppiness is true to the style but it seems like this pale lager is about the same hoppiness as some macro IPA’s.45Real easy to drink. Nice and recommended. Left me wishing for more...

Tap at Hominy Grill, Charleston. It pours pale yellow with a medium white head. The nose is hay, fresh grass, lime, pine, chlorine and light sweetness. The taste is crisp, grassy, dough, grainy, flour, spice and good level of bitterness with a crisp, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A crisp, well-made, hopped-up lager. Refreshing stuff.

From a 12 oz can at a summer cookout. Pours clear with an off white head. A thirst quenching, nicely put together beer. Nothing offensive with this one. Bottoms up.

Slight haze on this rich gold beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. Nice pale malt, not too slavishly lager like! Mild citrus hops in the background. Finishes crisp with more minerals and a carbonated bite. Decent lager. crisp. Devoid of the usual lager pitfalls and refreshing too boot!

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma of floral and citric hops, slightly piney, and some malty notes. Pretty hoppy flavor, floral and a bit grapefruity with a pleasant bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice and refreshing.

12oz can. Filtered orange body, big fluffy off-white head. Some mild, pleasant tropical hop tones, but pretty restrained. Has the new school hop tones..tropical, delicate...no pine, resiny grapefruit. Standard golden malt backbone, no real lager notes, or maybe they are substantially muted but the hops. They don’t really nail it with this one, but it is still pretty decent.
