Cask at the brewery. Slightly reluctant as I am not a real fan of landlord. Amber brown colour with no head. Smooth in mouth but fairly thin bodied. Aroma gives a slight hint of hoppiness and caramel/biscuit maltiness. Much prefer this to landlord! --- Beer merged from original tick of Landlord on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Bottle at home in London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, off-white head. Has a fairly inviting aroma, some light toasty dough, berries, mild sweat. Lightly sweet flavor with some lightly tangy berries, dry bread, mild leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish with some leafy bitterness, light toast, hints of plastic, modest berries. There are some nice, toasty nuances to the malts, but the overall character of the beer is slightly bland. Not bad overall, though.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Hazy brown. Nutty and yeasty. Mid sweet with some perfumed washing up liquid on sloppy caramel. Slight resiny bitterness. Not great.
