Bottled. Close to black colour with a foamy mediumsized brown head. Aroma is coffee, alcohol, some liquorice, figs and mild toffee tones. Flavour is slightly ashy with some liquorice, alcohol, mild toffee and some syrupy tones as well as star anise and mild coffee too. Ashy and roasted + quite alcoholic sweet aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of light tobacco, cocoa, some roasty notes, licorice, some sweeter vanilla like notes. Taste is pretty roasty up front, some fruity bitter coffee, licorice, dark sweet fruits, some oaky barrel character.

Bottle from Voldby K, shared with Niller - inky black pour with tiny tan head. Sweet and roasted malty with notes of rich decadent dark chocolate, some caramel, touch of liquorice, some charred burnt smokey malty notes in the finish.

Black, clear with ustable light tan head. Light jammy aroma, some licorice and roast. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with medium strong bitterness and alcohol burn. Earthy, raw licorice. Lasting bitterness and boozy finish. Not bad.

Bottle. An almost black one, topped by a small, dense, dark beige head. The aroma is a bit weak, but nice, with roasted malts, coffee grit notes, some coffee and a touch of dark bitter chocolate. Note of alcohol. It’s full-bodied and softly carbonated on the palate, with some alcohol warmth. Dark chocolate, coffee and alcohol in the flavor, some bonfire-like dryness. Salty, bitter licorice. Lasting finish with quite a lot of licorice. Nice this one, but not extraordinary. 150124

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, roast, caramel and coffee. Dark flavour of malt, with pronounced notes of roast and coffee and subtle touches of fruit. Bitter and roasty aftertaste. A nice one.

Bottle shared at the Pre-CBC 2013 Line Tasting - Copenhagen. Many thanks to the kind souls sharing their beers. Pours oily, dark brown with a creamy, khaki head. Burnt malts, some dry roast, dark fruits, char. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some baking cocoa, lingering roasted malts. Good.
