500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Off-white head leaving dotted spots behind. Close to clear amber coloured body. Smoked malts to the nose with a mid-sweet touch. Smoked malts in the flavour too, but soon overrun by a unintended acid touch that obvious should not be there. Dry endnotes. Possible to drink but mostly out of tune. Shared with Finn (Tromsø, 04.10.2012).

Pours deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, bacon and smoke. Taste is meidum sweet and light bitter with a long smoked finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 7.5%. Good mild smoke aroma, a little caramelly. Hazy light brown colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is sweet and smokey with some caramelly notes and a little sourness. Does not taste infected as such, and the sourness works well with the smoke. I would have preferred less alcohol and more smoke, but a good effort nonetheless.

500 ml bottle at Christianssand Brygghus. Slightly hazy, deep golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Strong smoked aroma with bacon, sausages, and campfire. Flavor is sweet malt, mild bitterness, light sour fruit and otherwise totally dominated by smoke, bacon and dry meat. Body is rather light and with this strong smoke flavor this feels unbalanced. OK in small amounts, but just too much smoke and an unpleasant sourness here.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are smoke, bacon, ashes, straw, caramel and hops.

Bottle @ Really late Summer Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Pours ruby amber with a small white head. Meat, caramel, fruit, bacon and campfire. Medium bodied. A mild tartness laying beneath.

Big beige head. Hazy amber body with light carbonation. Vaguely smoky meaty aroma with earthy caramelly plastic notes. Dry-acidic earthy musty vinegary taste with compost notes. Mid-to-thin body. Slick mouthfeel. This is undrinkably infected. Awful. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle, at grünerløkka festival. A clear, dark amber to brown beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Lightly smoked nose with some fruitiness and a touch of roasted malts. Some medicine hints. Pleasant bitterness in the flavour, with a smoked touch and assume dried fruits. Dry on the palate, medium body. Rather pleasant, but unusual in a way I find hard to describe. 120825
