Can, 473 ml, bought at Broue Ha Ha on 30 July 2024, savoured on 15 September 2024; eye: dark brown, opaque, no effervescence, thin sheet of beige head, no lacing; nose: coffee, toffee, light acidity, green pepper, light chocolate, light cocoa; mouth : coffee, slight toffee, light acidity, bitterness, light chocolate, light cocoa, semi-dry finale in coffee with light presence of toffee, medium-bodied, good carbonation, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, silky, oily and lightly raspy texture; in summary: fine FRANÇAIS

Dark brown colour with tiny particles through it, and some copper-ruby highlights. The head is beautiful, long lasting, warm-beige, frothy, somewhat thick-creamy, leaving creamy lacing. Wow! The alcohol is very well-hidden, with the mouthfeel being smooth, silky-wet with a decent building dryness that stays mild. The alcohol is more felt in the nose with the roasted malts, a touch of prunes, molasses, coffee, chocolate, toffee and liquorice. Flavours of wood, grassy hops, liquorice, and the roasted barley. Quite a nice smelling, easy-drinking Baltic Porter that really has lots going on, but all well-blended.

Torréfaction aux accents de café, arômes de biscuit, de pain frais font foi d’un olfactif bien malté mais sans apport d’alcool et de sucré. Couleur brune avec reflets roux assortie d’une mousse épaisse et rocailleuse plutôt persistante. En bouche, ça se veut bien torréfié avec des notes de biscuit, de café et un apport sucré assez bien senti cette fois sous forme de mélasse, de réglisse et de léger caramel. La finale présente une amertume de torréfaction assez intense. Le corps est un peu moins charpenté que le standard du style et la sensation d’alcool y est inexistante. Elle se veut néanmoins absolument délicieuse nonobstant quelques manquements au style dont notamment le faible taux d’alcool; ce qui joue sur son corps et sa rondeur.
