An amber English-style ale that has a nice balance between hops and malt. It's the most popular of our beers and the most versatile in terms of pairing with food or people.

Draught at Logan. Amber-brown-orange with lace. Eatyh hop and caramel nose. Flavor is rich caramel and chocolate malts, earthy hops with a touch of pine and a bit of cinnamon. Fine carbonation. OK.

12 ounce. can. Slightly hazy amber color. Decent sized rocky white head. Fragrant faint caramel malt aroma. Mild toasted malt flavor has hints of bread and black tea. Nicely balance subtle citrus hops. Slight nutty malt in finish. Pleasant but average.

A ¾ pint bottle carried back home from bottle bar (Biers Sans Frontiers), GBBF 13. Bright and clear amber coloured body. Creamy, off-white head that laces well. Smell of bread, herbal hops and dried fruits. Mixed flavours of red orange and caramel malts followed by a resin-like, bitter ending. Satisfying bittersweet tail. Soft and dry on the swallow. Just alright (shared with Finn H at his place in Tromsø 30.10.2013).

12oz can. Tan-orange body. Foamy, steady head. Pretty balanced and mild for a beer with amber malt. Rather English, in a US way. Clean, easy drinking, fruity ringwoodish character. Toasty, middle of the road, OK.

Bottle at Smith’s Billiards, Springfield, 19/05/13. Lightly hazed dark amber with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malt forward, hops, cheesecale biscuit base. Taste comprises caramel malt, sugars, light biscuit, background hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Basic fayre but drinkable none the less.

On tap at...well read my last rating. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A sweet caramel nose with flavor hops. The flavor is a clean easygoing pale, some biscuit, floral hops. Decent and to style.

It poured a medium copper color with a two inch thick off-white head that leaves a fair amount of foamy lacing in my nonic. The body is brown/orange with barely any carbonation is seen rising. The smell is balanced between the malts and the hops with a slight herbal aroma. The taste is balanced between the malts and the hops. A good sweetness dominates the taste. The palate is medium with a good smooth and creamy feel. It leaves a wet finish with a sweet aftertaste. This is a pretty drinkable beer. Overall, this is good for its style and good for me.
