The Grande Noirceur is an intensely black and dense beer with pronounced roasted flavours. The bitterness is very imposing but is balanced by a malty-caramel taste. The alcohol content is quite high, but its presence remains discrete in this beer.

Poured from bottle thanks Brian dark black with a thick cocoa head. Aroma is roasted malt light ash tobacco chocolate. Taste follows aroma notes of caramel chocolate tobacco ash.

From tap at Brygg with JML 08.11.18. Ebony Huge, dense and persistent brown head. Aroma and taste of coffee, oak, dark chocloalfe, rosted malt, pine and vanilla. Pine bitterness is lingering on.

Nitro sample at Bob's Bar. The beer pours flat black with some brown around the edges, and a medium creamy beige head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate and caramel malt. The finish is creamy with an espresso and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Közepes, örökké tartó hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kávés, aszalt gyümölcsös illat. Kávés, csokis, kakaóporos ízek, halvány aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Száraz, testes, közepesen szénsavas, erősen keserű, aminek zömét a pörkölés adja. Nem rossz, de túlságosan mintaszerű, mondhatnám keményvonalas, semmi izgalom.

0,33 flaske fra Systembolaget Hansa (Malmø), hjemme: brunsvart med tett skum som varer hele veien ned og vel så det. Superb balance og lekkert røstet aroma og smak med espresso, moccabønner, tørr bitterhed og heftig ettersmak. Mersmak de luxe, og med mer enn et hint av torvrøkt skotsk whisky. Høres godt ut? You bet it is! En bauta å navigere etter for oss hjemmebryggere.

Bottle 33 cl from Vinmonopolet.no. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, coffee and some spices. Sweet taste with a warm chocolate and light licorice sense. Nice and full bodied. Great. World cup group gm: Brazil-Switzerland.

Black with creamy light brown head. Aroma has hard roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Bitter chocolate flavour, licorice, hoppy coffee bitterness and alc warmth. Licorice too. Long roasted and hoppy bitter finish, a bit boozy in the long run but still quite nice.

If you are on the dark side. This one is surely something for you. Not that high complexity. Mostly chocolate and some espresso. It just so damned well balanced and easy drinkable. Well balanced sweetness. Dangerously well masked alcohol also. Booz, but not sticky alcohol in your nose or in the back of your mouth. Solid craftsmanship. Go for it son.

0.341l bottle. Pitch black body with a light brown head. Huge roasted malts notes in the aroma with some dark chocolate, floral hops and hints of caramel and smoke. Taste of roasted malts again with smoke and a generous amount of floral and medicinal hops. The finish is quite bitter and lasts long. Great old-school RIS.

Bakgården Både & 230318. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is cocoa, roasted malt, alcohol. Flavor is cocoa, roasted malt, alcohol, coffee, chocolate. Full body. Very nice beer.
