Bottle at home, picked up from Broadway Wines, 24/05/14. Almost clear golden amber with a well appointed off white head that dissipates a little but retains as a covering. Nose is floral hops, biscuit notes, light caramel, orange tinges. Taste comprises caramel, biscuit, floral notes, light citric peel, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with subtle hop bitterness. Ok easy drinker but pretty so so as the style goes, lacks the juicy citric edge and hop presence I crave from an APA.

Bottled 500ml ABM. Clear amber color, good white head, some lace. Fruity, candyish even bubblegummy aroma. Not like in weizen beers but like in a bear gum. Hints of honey. Light-bodied. Fruityness, sweetish maltyness, a bit lagerish notes even. Similar candy-like sweetness also in the flavor. Lacks depth.

Cask, half pint at the pub named The Camel, Bethnal Green. Deep amber coloured, diminishing off-white head, spotty lacing. Earth malty nose. Modest smoked malty taste joined by hints of chocolate and fruits. Dry malt-fruity ending. Medium to thin bodied. Alright partner to the goat’s cheese pie (London 16.08.2013).
