a.k.a. Chris’s Summer Delight, an unfiltered, refreshingly tart small batch beer conceived by our own Chris Haveman from 50% wheat malt and just a touch of Hersbrucker hops.

Bottled. Yeasts aroma and cloudy yellow pour with white head. Tart but otherwise not quite as flavourful as expected.

22oz bottle pours out a golden topped with a nice head. Nose is wheat lacto and some grass. Taste is as the nose with a nice malty and a touch of citrus.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 9/10/13
Aroma: The aroma is unexciting, with corn, grass, yeast, and a hint of fruit
Appearance: It pours a clear yellow-gold color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is similar, corn, yeast, some mild tartness, light sweetness, and a little dull
Palate: The body is light, it is a touch watery, has a fizzy carbonation, and a mild finish
Overall Impression: This wasn't my favorite example of this style, nor was it a favorite from Full Sail. It's okay, but it isn't good. I could have easily gone lower on the score, but I really don't think I could have gone much higher.

Bordering a Belgian witbier, this is a decent approximation of the Berliner weisse style. The tartness is there, in the background, not upfront like a Kindl Weisse. I’d like to try this with some of the German flavor syrups. Pale golden with thin foamy head (short-lived). Body is light, flavor is wheat bread with some citrusy tartness. Finish is slightly dry. Refreshing on a hot day.

22 ounce bottle. Bright brassy gold color. Small brief white head. Metallic lemony nose. Tart citrus flavor that reminds me ago Alka-Seltzer. The tartness turns quickly dry and finishes rather flat. Overall, just an average tasting example of the Berliner Weisse style.

Bomber shared with gorditoabd. Pours a massive head with a little gold liquid with a slight haze hiding underneath. Aromas have a bit of grain dust, a little tartness. Flavor is too much grain, but has a nice tart edge in there. Apple juice and tartness with a little metal.

Sampled from the bottle at the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a pretty strong acidic note with some sour fruit (medicinal) and an underlying earthy wheat. Flavor is slightly more balance bu still a bit of medicinal sour fruit with musty wheat.

22 oz bomber courtesy of bvc. Enjoy by 9.17.12 printed on label. The pour is a light haze golden copper, with a one inch slightly dirty white head. That head falls slow and rocky. The aroma is wheat grain, grass, and lemon citrus. The taste is the grain of the wheat, slightly tart lemon, and finishes with grass and lemon fruit. The palate is light to medium bodied, with soft carbonation, and the mild tart finish. Touch of diacetyl dirtiness present in the long aftertaste. More or less a wheat bear with a touch of tartness. Thanks Brandon.

Bomber from Oak Tree Buy Rite, S. Plainfield, NJ. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin tan head that fades quickly. Tart aroma with notes of apples, pale malts, faint toastiness. Tart tasted as well with tart lemons, pale malts, apple finish. Light-Medium bodied. Decent.
